| Lake Powell - Northern Arizona |
Stretching from the Glen
Canyon Dam in Arizona up the Colorado River and through
Utah, to Hite for a total of 186 miles. Lake Powell has
over 2,000 miles of shoreline, that's more than the entire
west coast of the United States.
Lake Powell is a man-made lake, the work started in 1956
and took a decade to complete.
It
has been said that there is nothing more awe-inspiring
in the whole world than the view of the blue lake surrounded
by towering cliff faces and mountains. So awe-inspiring
that the area attracts millions from around the world
each year to take in its splendour, its fishing, boating,
water skiing and fishing.
