What could be better than taking in the beauties that the Phoenix area has to offer and keeping fit at the same time? Hiking is an ideal exercise giving you the same results as several hours of aerobics in the gym, with the added beauty of nature to feast your eyes upon.

SAFETY FIRST:
Always tell others where you are going and when you intend to get back;
Take plenty of water, especially in the summer months;
Take cover against the sun both in lotion and also headwear.


Peralta Trail: is a very popular hike in the Supersitition Wilderness, situated east of Mesa there's a 6 mile trail. Tel: (602) 225-5200 for further details.

Directions: take US60 and AZ77 eastward to Peralta Road, travel a further 8 miles north to the head of the trail.


Flume Trail, Cave Creek Regional Park: Varying difficulties of trails totalling 11 miles. The Flume Trail is 1.5 miles (note that's one-way). There is a vehicle access/parking fee of $5 and $1 for those arriving on foot or bike.

Directions: I-17, Cave Creek Road or Scottsdale Road north to Carefree Highway. Then follow Carefree Highway to 32nd Street, north for 1.5 miles.
