| Surprise - North West Valley Explore
Arizona |
Founded in 1937, when it consisted of
just a few small houses and a gas station, Surprise has
grown to the extent that it was named Arizona's fast growing
city. Predictions are that Surprise's population could
hit 300,000 by 2020.
In 2001 the city persuaded the Kansas City Royals and
Texas Rangers to leave their Florida training homes to
take up residence in Surprise for their Spring Training.
Surprise is well placed for hiking in the nearby White
Tank Mountain Regional Park, golfing on one of the city's
eight public golf courses or fishing at the Surprise Recreation
Campus.
Sport plays a big part in Surprise, but you will also
find all the usual facilities that you would expect in
a modern growing city, there's an aqua park, shops, restaurants,
bars and nightlife and a thriving art museum. |
