IN WICKENBURG
YOU CAN EXPERIENCE
THE TRUE COWBOY LIFESTYLE
A
vacation you will never forget, your chance to spend time
on a real working ranch in Arizona, just 16 miles out
of Wickenburg. The Williams family first started living
and working the ranch, in 1972. Friends and family used
to visit the ranch, later the Williams family opened their
home to "city slickers"... Cowboy crafts and old fashioned
fun are presented with each person joining in as much
or as little as their ability or interests allows.
WORKING
COW TRIPS / RANCH WEEKS
The working cow trips (require a minimum of 3 days) and
the ranch weeks can start at 5:00 pm any day of the week.
You can join the Williams Family with their day to day
cattle work: moving cattle to new pastures, branding late
calves, check and fix fences and gates. There are a lot
of horse activities involved in all of this work. TRAILRIDES
Or maybe you want to take in the splendour of the great
outdoors, trailrides for 4 - 8 people are available. Experienced
riders can go on 4 hours rides with lunch served at the
ranch house. Unexperienced riders could go on a 2 hours
ride, then after lunch could ride for 2 more hours. You
also can go on trailrides during the not so busy days
during your working ranch vacation.
People
with own horses are welcome. However the horses have to
be used to steep and rock trails.
If you go on trailrides (2 days or more) or spend some
days / a week at the ranch you'll live in a rustic, but
cosy bunk house with 3 rooms and a shared bathroom. Hot
showers and good beds are especially welcome at the close
of a busy day.
