Communicator leaves Lowestoft August 2004

A DAY WITH LASER558 (page 2)
19th June, 2004 - Lowestoft, Suffolk

Above former Amber Radio & North Norfolk Radio man, Keith Travis, presents his Offshore Music Radio programme from the Communicator.

Right the Engine room. We were told that the engine was now being run, however, Tony, one of our visitors to this site disputes this pointing out it is more likely the starter engines that are running

See update on this on page 5 (1st July 2004)

Below one of the generators which caused so much trouble in the Laser days, now running once more....boy are they noisey and HOT!

Above two of the cabins onboard - both small but once more almost habitable
When you get inside the ship you can see just how much work has taken place. There is the smell of fresh paint and varnish, new fittings and replacement parts. But still much much work to be done, and also the evidence of the senseless vandalism that occured when the ship was in Holland
